Service Center

The Sheila & Stan Price Reentry Center is located within blocks of the Los Angeles County Jail discharge location at Men's Central Jail, allowing CHJ to quickly provide services to clients released from custody. Our helpful staff guide clients through the available resources and services at the Center to help with reentry, including: HIV testing, toiletry kits (makeup, pads, shaving kits, etc.), snacks, food, water, internet access and phone use, linkage to community resources, and much more.

Linkage to Resources

In addition to providing services directly, CHJ is a bridge organization, connecting clients to the expanse of available services throughout Los Angeles County when clients' needs are outside CHJ’s scope. A lack of affordable housing, employment, public benefits, identification, substance use treatment, and mental health support are some of the greatest challenges to reintegration after incarceration. CHJ helps connect clients to the following services: housing, employment, education, health, mental health, food, clothing, domestic violence support, maternal wellness, legal support, public benefits enrollment, substance use treatment, and many more. We also help connect clients to services specifically for sexual minorities, seniors, veterans, and youth.
See our Community Resource List here.

Health Education Programs

CHJ's staff are welcoming and supportive of all of our clients, and their work is strengthened by their lived experiences, including former incarceration. With insight and compassion into the needs of the community, CHJ's dedicated staff lead the following programs:
